Summary: In 1975, University of Delhi introduced Tourism as a subject for under-graduate studies and I was called upon to give a few lectures. To prepare my academic lectures, I searched the University Libraries for some textbook material. Hardly any materi was available. Besides the Western academic nic studies, which had little relation to the ground realities of Indian and Asian markets. Again, all examples and case studies were related to Europe or America.
