With the speedy and sudden changes occurring in society today, the Filipino family needs to be more resilient and stronger than ever. Both of us have been clinical psychologists for many years and we have seen firsthand how families struggle to cope with miscommunication, separation, violence, and other forms of major and minor trauma. Through our work with children, teens, and adults, we have discovered that many parents, teachers, caretakers, and counselors are at a loss on how to deal with these family struggles. Thus, we have decided to write this book-a manual, if you will-to share our insights and recommendations
