This text is an approach to strategic management, relating relevant segments of the 2500 year-old Art of War by Sun Tzu to insights gained through analyses of strategy processes within major ASEAN corporations (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia). Through analogy, the book seeks to record how Sun Tzu's prescriptions on strategy are largely borne out in their research of strategy processes within major listed corporations in ASEAN. The book is relevant to world management now that China, where Sun Tzu continues to be greatly revered, is on its way to becoming the world's largest economy. It is aimed at general managers, corporate planners, researchers and academics.
