Each lesson follows a distinct format represented by the acronym GEAR UP. Gear-up means to prepare or equip oneself for something or to get ready. Thus, this material will prepare the pre-service teachers into the teaching profession, understanding the fundamentals of teaching, the professionalization of teaching, the laws concerning the teaching profession including the Professional Ethics of Teachers which are of vital importance for the pre-service teachers to know for these will make them ready in the field of teaching.
